MY HISTORY & DREAMS
I made my stage debut when I was three years old. It was a performance of "Jingle Bells" with my preschool class in an Advent Program, but still. The little girl with the ringlet curls and Tweety Bird eyes got her first taste of "showbiz," and she hasn’t looked back since.
Now, over 20 years later, I am a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Arts Management and minors in Theatre & Drama (acting focus) and Telecommunications (screenwriting focus). As an actress, I performed in over 40 productions and have taken several classes. As a writer, I am working on a TV pilot, started a blog, and have several other ideas in the works. As a singer... well, it's most belting it out in the car or shower right now, but I am classically trained, won awards, and performed in several musicals, choirs, recitals, and showcases.
I consider myself to be a storyteller. Whether it is through bringing a character to life with my actions, or allowing a world to be explored with my words, or even through the occasional song and dance, what matters most is that I am able to enlighten, enrapture, or encourage those around me. I want to be living proof that – as long as you work hard and are true to yourself – dreams really can come true.
Though it would be nice to win an Oscar, too.
